II.- HOW IT WORKS: GENERAL INFORMATION
 

1.- What is the Plant a Billion Trees campaign?

The SUSTAINABLE FORESTS campaign is a restoration initiative of EFUNDATION. It is the first restoration project, and in the future we want to expand it to include other forestry projects in the United States and China. By planting trees and helping severely degraded forests regenerate, we help ensure clean water, air, species diversity and full, healthy forests for future generations.


 

2.- SUSTAINABLE FORESTS is a very ambitious goal. Why are you trying to achieve this?


It is ambitious, but forests around the world are worth the effort. They are essential for healthy lives and a healthy planet. Our approach leverages the most advanced science available to ensure that the forests we can restore from this first project are viable ecosystems that provide multiple benefits and high quality habitat.


3.- How does planting a tree impact people, or me?

Forests help sustain life on the planet. They clean our water, filter our air, cool our planet. Trees offer shelter and rest, shade and shelter.


 

4.- How much does it cost to plant a tree?  


The cost of planting a tree varies according to location, tree type and size, but the minimum is between approximately 3.00 and 16.00 EUR per tree. In addition to covering the costs of the planting process itself, donations support ongoing maintenance and conservation efforts.


Donations also help pay for reforestation actions such as removing invasive species, protecting areas where young trees are growing, encouraging species to return to degraded areas, and removing any barriers that may prevent a forest from regrowing. Up to 30% of the cost is used to administer the campaign.


Therefore, the approximate cost of planting, identification, location and conservation process all inclusive of:


1. one micro tree, 36,00 EUR. Less than 25 cm.

2. A small tree, 48,00 EUR. Less than 50 cm.

3. A medium tree, 64,00EUR. Less than 100 cm.

4. A large tree, 82,00 EUR. Less than 150 cm.

5. One mega tree, 112,00 EUR. Less than 200 cm.

 

  III.- LOCATIONS: BEGINNING OF THE CAMPAIGN AND FUTURE LOCATIONS.
 

1.- START: SPAIN AND PORTUGAL.


Help us to make possible sustainable forests in Spain and Portugal for the benefit of all. The trees to be planted will be olive, almond, pine and other native varieties.


2.- FUTURE: UNITED STATES AND CHINA.


We chose these future campaign jurisdictions because they are unsustainable locations, with the paradox that the United States and China are home to some of the longest-lived and tallest trees in the world. In addition to being beautiful places for us to rescue, they offer many benefits, including filtering more than half of the freshwater consumed in the country and sequestering carbon, thereby helping to mitigate climate change.
